French Quarter Festival, throughout the French Quarter. A four-day local music showcase in New Orleans -- the largest free music event in the United States. Egg Scramble, New Orleans City Park, from 9 am to noon, with more than 36,000 eggs scattered throughout Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland! Expect music, face painters, the Easter Bunny and a balloon artist. Tickets are $5/Friends of City Park and $10/nm. Kids younger than 1 are free. Easter Egg Hunt, at Longue Vue House and Gardens, 7 Bamboo Road. Hop on over for fun, face-painting, lawn games, plant sales, egg hunting and more! The morning egg hunt is from 9:30 to 10:30 am, and the afternoon hunt is from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Tickets cost $8/members and $10/nm. Kids 2 and younger are free. PIPE Family Fun Eat & Run 5K, New Orleans City Park. Participants in this 5K run and walk, benefitting the Louisiana Children’s Museum, will enjoy a post-race party featuring food, drink, a DJ, karaoke, a bounce house and much more! Admission cost varies. For more information, visit 8:30 am. 

Easter Egg Hunt, Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 5914 Canal Blvd., at 12:15 pm. This FREE event will include a visit from the Easter Bunny, Easter egg prizes, activities and treats. 

Opera Guild Egg Hunt, Opera Guild Home, 2504 Prytania St., from 2 to 4 pm. Enjoy an interactive MetroPelican opera performance, then follow the Easter Bunny outside to hunt for jelly bean-filled eggs! Tickets are $15/person, with advance purchase required.
