KID smART will be hosting their 10th annual ART JAM event on Saturday, May 13th! This event is a family-friendly arts festival that celebrates all things art, education, and joy. It features free hands-on activities, live performances, arts-based workshops, and more for your friends and family. KID smART was founded in 1999 to provide public schools with a richer arts education. Since its founding, KID smART has served more than 32,000 students and 5,000 teachers throughout New Orleans. KID smART believes the power of art should be available to all public students and work to provide children with the most to gain from arts-rich, social-emotional education. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of the Andre Cailloux Center for Performing Arts and Cultural Justice located at 2541 Bayou Road in New Orleans.
