March 3

The New Canal Lighthouse Easter Gator Egg Hunt, New Canal Lighthouse, 8001 Lakeshore Drive. Thinkerella and the New Canal Lighthouse present the very first Alligator Egghunt! In addition to the hunt for eggs filled with special, surprise items, Thinkerella will have experiments with Louisiana themes and fun Easter art. The event will include vendors and food trucks, and kids can take a picture with the Alligator Bunny! All tickets include a science lab coat and a tour of the New Canal Lighthouse. To purchase tickets, click here. Admission is $20/child, $5/adults. VIP tickets for early entry are $28/child, $12/adults. 1-4 pm.
 
March 10
Easter Egg Roll, St. Mary’s Dominican High School, 7701 Walmsley Ave. Egg hunters will search for 3,000 Easter eggs and enjoy activities including crafts, a petting zoo and photos with the Easter Bunny. Easter Eggstravaganza, Mount Carmel Academy, 7027 Milne Blvd. The fun-filled morning will include a festive brunch, Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts, and more! Admission is $10/person. Click here for more information. 9:30 am-12:30 pm.

YAYA Family Day Easter Egg Hunt, East Jefferson YMCA, 6691 Riverside Drive, Metairie. Bring the entire family for a pancake brunch at the Y. Brunch with the Easter Bunny, 3322 LaSalle St., New Orleans. Join YAYA for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the YAYA Arts Center! Get your face painted, dye eggs, build your basket, and join the egg hunt starting at 12pm. Don’t miss your chance to make a colorful glass egg for only $10! Refreshments will be provided. New Orleans Museum of Art Egg Hunt & Family Festival, Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, One Collins C. Diboll Circle. Two egg hunts, a petting zoo, spacewalks, face painting, crafts, activities, refreshments and more. Tickets are $10/NOMA members, $12/non-members and $15 at the door. Free for kids 2 and younger. Easter Egg HuntAudubon Riverview, also known as “The Fly” area behind Audubon Zoo. The Easter Egg Hunt will feature games, music, and food. Participants can exchange the eggs they find for a gift bag filled with candy. Children and their parents are encouraged to arrive early and register to receive same-day, free admission to the Audubon Zoo. Click here for more information. Free and open to the public. The Egg Hunt for children ages 1-5 begins at 11 am., for children ages 6-12 begins at 11:45 am. 
 
Pintsize Paint Party: “Bunny”Fassbender Center, 2508 20th St., Kenner. This one-day workshop is filled with treats and a great painting from “Bunny.” Ages 6 and older. Hoppin’ Down the River Cruise, Paddlewheeler Creole Queen. Mingle and take pictures with Bourgeois the Cajun Easter Bunny, see and hold a real-live alligator, play games, get your face painted, and enjoy a child-friendly lunch buffet and Easter treats. Easter Eggstravaganza, Behrman Park, 2529 General Meyer Ave. Hop over with your family and friends to the annual NORD Easter Eggstravaganza. Easter Egg Hunt, Longue Vue House and Gardens, 7 Bamboo Road. Bring your basket and hop on over to Longue Vue House and Gardens for a morning of fun, face-painting, lawn games, plant sales, egg hunting and more. Tickets are $8/members; $10/non-members. Free for children 2 and younger. Advance registration is required. Egg Scramble, New Orleans City Park. Come join the fun and hunt for more than 36,000 eggs scattered throughout Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland. The event will include music, face painters, the Easter Bunny and a balloon artist. Tickets are $5/Friends of City Park members, $10/non-members. Free for kids younger than 1. March 25
Easter Egg Hunt, Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 5914 Canal Blvd. This event will include a visit from the Easter Bunny, Easter egg prizes, activities and treats. Free. 11:45 am.
 
Opera Guild Egg Hunt, Opera Guild Home, 2504 Prytania St. Enjoy an interactive MetroPelican opera performance, then follow the Easter Bunny outside to hunt for jelly bean-filled eggs! City Putt Easter Eggs-traveganza, New Orleans City Park. Each person will get to play one course, enjoy one cocktail (or soft drink), taste sweet treats, get a free raffle ticket and receive giveaways. April 1
French Quarter Easter Parade
The Historic French Quarter Easter Parade. The parade consists primarily of mule-drawn carriages and old convertibles, with riders throwing stuffed Easter bunnies and other trinkets to the children along the route. It starts at 9:45 am at Antoine’s Restaurant and leads to St. Louis Cathedral for 11 am Mass. Click here for more information.
