Having the Porn Conversation with your Kids

Ask the Experts- The Porn Conversation- August 5, 11 am-1pm (CST)

This Seminar, from Children and Screen: Institute of Digital Media and Child Development, conducted on Zoom, will tackle the topic in depth and will offer parents the chance to ask questions of their own.

Moderated by Dr. Gail Dines, author and founder/president of Culture Reframed, a non-profit devoted to building resilience to hyper-sexualized media and porn, the seminar will feature a panel of the world’s leading experts discussing the current research on pornography’s effect on adolescent development, providing evidence-based practical suggestions for parents, educators and healthcare providers, and demonstrating useful techniques for making the most of the awkward ‘porn conversation’ with your kids.

Please note, content in this discussion not suitable for kids under 18 years of age.

“The key is not to overreact or shame your child; rather, create an open and loving environment where you and your child can openly discuss what has been seen. Then, you will be able to better determine the appropriate course of action.”
