Mardi Gras Camps 2020

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Mardi Gras is almost here. Don’t miss your chance to sign your little one up for camp.

Adventure Quest Laser Tag Mardi Gras Camp
1001 Elmwood Park Blvd.
Ages: 5–12
Cost: $50/day 
Dates/Times: Feb. 24, 26-28, no camp Feb. 25; 7:30 am-5:30 pm.

Campers will blast through the ancient Mayan ruins in laser tag, crash through the jungle in bumper cars, and explore the ancient temple in a round of mini golf. They will enjoy many other games and activities for them to connect and grow during their time at Adventure Quest.  

Audubon Zoo’s Mardi Gras Camp 
Audubon Zoo, 6500 Magazine St.
Ages: Pre-K through 4th Grade
Cost: $40/members, $50/non-members. Before care is $7/per child, per day. After care is $10/per child, per day.

A school break is a great way to spend time outdoors. Audubon Zoo will host Mardi Gras camp for ages 4-11. Each day is full of animal exploration, scientific investigation, arts and crafts, and more!

Big Easy Sportsplex Mardi Gras Break Baseball Camp

Camps will provide instruction, drills, and games in multiple sports, athletic games, and competitions that range from traditional to creative physical activities that blend movement, athleticism, and fun. Strength, balance and speed will be incorporated into all daily activities for growing athletes who are ready to take their ability to the next level.  

Church’s Karate Academy: Mardi Gras Break Camp

Culinary Kids: Mardi Gras Camp

JCC Metairie – Mardi Gras Mini Camp

JCC Uptown – Mardi Gras Mini Camp

Junction Place Sports All Sports Camp @ LBSA

Camp will emphasize playing the “right way”, concentrating on sportsmanship, fundamentals, rules, hustle, positive attitude and the ability and willingness to listen and learn. Campers will participate in basketball, baseball, football and soccer, as well as kickball, and other games designed to promote cooperation, patience and teamwork.

Holiday mini-camps offer fun in a two-story Adventure Challenge maze, discovering the ins and outs of the pirate ship playground, bouncing in the spacewalk, swimming in the beautiful outdoor pools, and creating arts and crafts.

Upturn Arts: Mardi Gras Masquerade

Cost: $68.25/day or $136.50 both days (early bird price). Upturn Arts provides all services on a sliding scale for middle and low income households.

Students will learn about the traditions of mask making.  Dance, music, visual arts and theater classes will be offered each day from Upturn Arts faculty and a guest artist will collaborate with students to create original masks.
