Special Needs Baseball Complex Opens on Northshore

by Nola Family Staff, March 28,2019

The Miracle League Northshore will celebrate the opening of its new baseball complex with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 29. Designed for kids with special needs, the $900,000 facility is the first and only facility of its kind on the Northshore.

The event will host community leaders, donors, and athletes and their families. The general public is also welcome to attend the free event. Program speakers include St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister, St. Tammany Parish School Superintendent Trey Folse, and Children’s Hospital president and CEO John Nickens IV.

Since 2014, the Miracle League Northshore has been diligently working to build this unique field. The project was made possible through the generous support of donors, including Children’s Hospital New Orleans, the Brees family, and Supreme Automotive. For more information, call (601)431-0696.
