Breakfast with Papa Noel
The Ritz-Carlton, 921 Canal St. Continue the holiday tradition with family, friends and Papa Noel. Prytania’s Very, Merry Christmas 
Prytania Theatre, 5339 Prytania St. Join for the jolliest event of the season! This is for kids of all ages- from 1 to 92! Enjoy 2 classic Christmas movies- Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer- along with crafts and cupcake decorating. Doors open at 9 am, movie starts at 10 am.
 
Jazz Brunch with Santa

Miracle on Fulton Street 
Fulton Street, New Orleans. The schedule for the final weekend of Miracle on Fulton Street: Luna Fete Fallen Star Interactive Star Display. “Snow” fall every hour from 11 am-11 pm. for ten minutes at the beginning of each hour. Gingerbread display in Harrah’s Hotel Lobby. Photos with Santa available for purchase by Luxe Photography $20 for (2) 4 x 6 photos; cash only from 6-9 pm. Friday, Dec. 22: 5:30-6:30 pm – Canterbury Carolers; 7:-9:30 pm – Benny Grunch and the Bunch. 
 
Royal Teddy Bear Tea
The Royal Sonesta’s Grand Ballroom, 300 Bourbon St. It’s a magical Royal kingdom featuring a visit from Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus, a sing-a-long with Rudolph, the Sugarplum Fairy and Marching Toy Soldiers. VIP Admission: $75/adults, $49/children ages 2-11; General Admission: $59/adults, $34/children ages 2-11. Dec. 22 and 23, 11 am and 2 pm.
 
Papa Noel Tea
The Ritz-Carlton, 921 Canal St. A special holiday celebration featuring an appearance by Papa Noel. Children will enjoy cookie decorating, viewing The Ritz-Carlton’s one-of-a-kind gingerbread display and other holiday surprises. $55/person. For more information, call 504.262.5048. NOLA ChristmasFest
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Enjoy an ice skating rink, ice slides, carnival rides and inflatables, life-size maze, snowball fight area, holiday characters, and decorated Christmas trees. $20/person, free for children younger than 2. Hours are 11 am–9 pm daily, except Wednesday, Dec. 27: 11 am–8 pm. Open Christmas Eve from 11 am–5 pm. Continues through Dec. 31.
 
 
New Orleans Ballet Theatre
The Orpheum Theater, 129 Roosevelt Way. The New Orleans Ballet Theatre (NOBT) will present five performances of the classic Christmas tale, The Nutcracker. This year will mark the third year the company will collaborate with both the historic Orpheum Theater downtown and a local artist for the poster artwork. With its biggest cast to date, over 150 local children and professional dancers will be sharing the stage this December. Dec. 22, 2 pm and 7 pm
 
 
Delta Festival Ballet presents The Nutcracker

Saturday, December 23
Santa Cookie Decorating and Hot Cocoa Tasting
La Petite Tea Room, 5928 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie. Each child will get to decorate cookies to take home for Santa, as well as enjoy hot chocolate and sit down for a Christmas Tea Party. $30/child. Reservations are required. For more information, call 504.733.1001. Dec. 23, 10 am.

Classic holiday tea with tempting treats, storytelling, face painting, magic tricks, children’s activities and merriment, while cruising the mighty Mississippi. $59/adults, $39/children, $10/ages 2 and younger. A Frozen Party

CHRISTMAS EVE
 
Bonfires on the Levee
Various locations along River Road between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, particularly in St. James Parish. More than 100 bonfires are lit along the Mississippi River to show the Cajun Santa Claus, “Papa Noel,” where to fly and land as he soars across southern Louisiana. Dusk.
