Let nola family help reduce your stress this holiday season! This guide will help you find the best camp for your child during their holiday break.

 
Adventure Quest Laser Tag Holiday Camp
Ages: 3-13
Cost: $50/day; 20% sibling and session discounts
Dates/Times: Dec. 20-22, Dec. 26-29, Jan. 2-3, 7:30 am-5:30 pm

Campers will enjoy unlimited laser tag, bumper cars, cosmic golf and maze, plus indoor and outdoor games and activities provided by Kidcam Camp.
 
Audubon Zoo Camp
Ages: Pre-K4-4th grade
Cost: $40/day for members, $50/day for non-members
Dates/Times: Dec. 27-29, 9 am-3 pm; before care from 7:30-9 am, $7/day; after care from 3:15-5 pm, $10/day

Action-packed adventures among the Zoo’s animals. Each day promises to be full of animal exploration, scientific investigation, arts and crafts, and more. Register for one or all days.
 
Cascade Stables Winter Camp
Ages: 5 and older
Cost: $65/day
Dates/Times: Dec. 19-22, 26-29, 9 am-3 pm; before and after care available

Camp activities include riding or driving twice daily, grooming horses, tacking horses, horse and equipment care, mounted and unmounted games, crafts, horsemanship skills and safety, and equine trivia. Beginner to advanced welcome. Bring a lunch.
 
Earth Science Winter Camp
Ages: 9-12

Do you have what it takes to be a ‘mad scientist’? Step into the Science lab and perform experiments with metals & elements, learn how to identify rocks & minerals, and participate in hands-on Earth Science activities. Presented by: Leah Tevis, Geology Major and Assistant Manager at Earth Odyssey.
 
Ivanov’s Gymnastics Winter Holiday Camp
Ages: 3-14
Cost: $20/half day. $35/full day
Dates/Times: Dec. 26-29; 9 am-12:30 pm for 3-4 ½ year olds, before care available 8-9 am (bring a snack and drink); 9 am-3 pm for 4 ½-14 year olds, before care from 8-9 am, after care from 3-5 pm (bring lunch, a snack and drink)

JCC Holiday Mini Camps
Ages: 3-5, K-5th grade

Winter Mini Camp – Metairie/Uptown: Take trips, play games and sports, make crafts, hang out with friends, and meet some new buddies at the JCC.
Preschool Winter Mini Camp – Metairie: Enjoy art, sports, games and more. Bring a nap mat, lunch and a change of clothes every day. Must be potty-trained.
 
KidsSports
Ages: 3-13

LA/SPCA
Animal Celebration Winter Camp
Ages: 6-10
Cost: $65/day
Dates/Times: Dec. 27-28, 9 am-3 pm

Children are introduced to services the shelter offers, safety with animals, pet handling and care, grooming skills, and responsible pet ownership. Each day of camp will be filled with animal-themed arts and crafts, interactive games, and hands-on time with the shelter puppies and kittens. Bring a lunch.
 
Daytime Matinee Critter Cinema – CANCELLED

Louisiana Children’s Museum    
Ages: 5-8
Cost: $40/day for members, $50/day for non-members.
Dates/Times: Dec. 20-22, Dec. 26-29, Jan. 2-3; 8:45 am-3 pm; before care from 7:30-8:45 am, $10/day; aftercare from 3-5:30 pm, $12/day; before care and after care can be purchased as a package for $20/day.

Holiday I Camp: Frozen Exploration. It’s getting cold outside — stay warm inside while learning about winter animals, ice painting, and much more.
Holiday II Camp: To the Future and Beyond. Celebrate 2018 by looking to the future and beyond. Look to the sky and learn about space, and create a futuristic city, house, car and more. Envision the future 100 or 1,000 years from now.
New Year’s Camp: Celebrate New Orleans. 2018 is the New Orleans Tricentennial. Celebrate our great city with New Orleans-themed activities, including making a Fleur de Lis and creating a New Orleans-style house.
 
New Orleans Shotokan Academy Winter Martial Arts Camp
Ages: 6 and older

This two-day long, half-day camp teaches three forms of martials arts each day: Karate at 9, followed by Aikido at 10 and Judo at 11.  
 
Ogden Museum Winter Holiday Camp Inspired by Prospect.4
Ages: Students in 2nd-5th grades
Cost: $45 member / $50 non-member. Advanced registration required.

Pony Tales Holiday Camps

Speech-N-Motion Holiday Camp at Crane Rehab Center
Ages: 3-10
Cost: Full Day $105 per class, per week; AM $55 per class, per week; PM $50 per class, per week

Prospective campers who have never attended or attend two or more years ago require a screening prior to registration. The cost of the screening is $50.00 and is non- refundable. If you are a 2015 or 2016 Speech N Motion Camp attendee you do not require a screening. Kids can explore their artistic side this holiday season. NOMA offers two single-day Studio KIDS! Holiday Workshops to engage young artists in the creative process. Students will explore works of art in the museum galleries and get creative in the studio.
 
Upturn Arts Holiday Camp
Ages: 4-16
Cost: $290/week, $66/day (drop-in rate), creARTive grants available

This will be a fun, Mardi Gras-themed camp, with yoga, dance, music, theatre and art, as well as a Master Artist Series with the New Orleans Creole Baby Dolls and the Uptown Warriors.

Winter Film Camp
Art Camp 504
Each course explores the fundamentals of filmmaking – with the students creating their own stories and short films by the end of the week. Cost: $200/week, 9AM-3PM. Cost: $200/week, 9am-3pm. Film Camp is located at Art Klub – 1941 Arts Street.

YMCA’s East Jefferson Holiday Camp
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $25/day for members, 10% multi-day registration discount for members who register for more than three days of camp. Payment due in full to receive discount.; $35/day for non-members, plus $10 registration fee. Registration closes Dec. 14.
