On Thursday, October 12, 2023, in recognition of World Sight Day, CooperVision will be offering free vision screenings for children of all ages at the Louisiana Children’s Museum.

CooperVision, is a global leader in the contact lens industry. In 2019, CooperVision launched MiSight, the only FDA-approved soft contact lens to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. This event is to help build awareness about the importance of early intervention for long-term eye health.

Free vision screenings will be available from 3-6 p.m., with the Museum extending regular hours to ensure more families can attend. Screenings will also be available to employees of the Children’s Museum and City Park.

Certified optometrists will be on-site to conduct screenings, answer questions, and provide additional information about the importance of pediatric eye health.
