Girl Scout Cookies Are Back!

Brace yourselves, cookie enthusiasts! The sweet aroma of Thin Mints®, the delectable taste of Caramel deLites®, and the irresistibly yummy Peanut Butter Sandwich fill the air today as Girl Scouts Louisiana East officially launches the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie season in southeast Louisiana.

During this highly anticipated time of the year, girls flex their entrepreneurial muscles and acquire important life skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. This season will not only satisfy your cookie cravings but also empower young girls to unlock their full potential through essential life skills.

Rebecca Pennington, CEO of Girl Scouts Louisiana East, exclaims, “Our Girl Scouts, volunteers, and Council staff are gearing up for an amazing 2024 Cookie season. The generous people of southeast Louisiana have always strongly supported this program, and we are thankful they continue to support the entrepreneurial spirit of our Girl Scouts.”

This year’s theme, “Unbox the Future,” transcends the mere joy of indulging in delicious treats. It aims to break down social barriers that often confine young girls, encouraging them to step out of the box and seize their limitless potential. When girls sell a package of cookies, they are not just exchanging a delightful box; they are creating a pathway to a more equitable future for themselves and the world.

Every box of cookies sold plays a pivotal role in funding invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts, ranging from service projects to troop travel and summer camps. The entrepreneurial prowess of nearly 700,000 participating girls in the Girl Scout Cookie Program builds courage, confidence, and character, and equips them with transferable life skills for a barrier-breaking future.

The Girl Scout Cookie season in southeast Louisiana will run from January 19 through March 24, offering ample time to savor and share these delectable treats. For those eager to purchase cookies, simply reach out to a registered Girl Scout or use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder starting March 1. Additionally, starting February 16, customers can conveniently order cookies to be shipped directly to their homes by entering their zip code into the Girl Scout Cookie Finder.
