LCM Brings Mental Health Video Series to Families

April 2, 2020

The Louisiana Children’s Museum and the Tulane Institute of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health have partnered to offer a live, free video chat series to support parents and caregivers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dedicated to mental health, “In Dialogue” will focus on topics like talking to your child about COVID-19, tips to support learning at home, and more. The first “In Dialogue” is today at 1:30 pm and will discuss positive parenting strategies. A Q&A session will follow.

“Mental health is a pressing topic right now,” says LCM CEO Julia Bland. “We feel compelled to continue delivering our mission through this time, and ‘In Dialogue’ really addresses the needs of the families of New Orleans that we feel so connected to.”

The series is designed for adults, as the topics are meant to support a caregiver’s connection to their child while demystifying mental health topics.

“In Dialogue”
– Every Thursday at 1:30 pm
– Limited to 300 participants
– Sessions are recorded and shared on the LCM YouTube channel
– Free and open to the public
