Named after Morris F.X. Jeff, champion of public education and recreational opportunities for children in New Orleans, Morris Jeff Community School is a top-performing, open-admissions public charter school serving 1400+ students, PK4 -Grade 12.

Founded in 2010, Morris Jeff is an intentionally diverse school with an international focus on developing students as caring citizens and global thinkers. We are proud to be Louisiana’s only World School of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for grades PK-5, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6-10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for grades 11-12. These programs offer a rigorous curriculum that crosses disciplines and share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Morris Jeff Community School believes is important for all students.

Our community adheres to attributes that support all members of the school community in developing respect for themselves, others, and the world around them. IB learners are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. In May 2021, we will graduate our first senior class. Families who are applying for a seat at our school must complete the application online at enrollnola.org, the centralized enrollment of NOLA Public Schools.
