Things To Do

Recycle Your Mardi Gras Beads

Now that Mardi Gras has passed, are you wondering what to do with the pile of Mardi Gras Beads that you have? You don’t want to just toss them in the trash to end up in some landfill. You also don’t want to just leave it in a corner of your house collecting dust for a whole year. Well, look no further than the Audubon Nature Institute! There, you can responsibly recycle your collected beads from this Mardi Gras season. These drop off locations are located at the front gate of the Audubon Zoo and at the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center. These bins will be here until March 6, so don’t miss out on giving these old beads some new life!
