Schedule your Mammogram Today with Touro Women’s Imaging Center!

31 Days of Pink is Touro Infirmary’s movement to raise breast health awareness every day during October; National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Today, breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the United States during her lifetime. In fact, Louisiana has one of the highest rates of breast cancer mortality in the nation. We can change this by educating our community and encouraging lifesaving screenings. When detected early, breast cancer is most treatable.

Together we are fighting to beat this disease. We hope that you will join the conversation. Visit 31DaysofPink.com to read Touro’s blog daily throughout the month, and share your story with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtags #31DaysofPink #StrongerTogether.

6. The benefits and limitations of mammography vary based on factors like age and personal risk. Experts have different recommendations for mammography. The American Cancer Society recommends yearly screening for women ages 45 to 54 and yearly or biennial screenings for women ages 55 and older.
