St. Francis Xavier Catholic School offers families from all over the metropolitan area a co-educational, Christian environment for children in Pre-Kindergarten 2 through 7th grades.

Located in the heart of historic Old Metairie, St. Francis Xavier strives in its mission to educate children in a Christ-centered, safe and academically stimulating environment. Maintaining a small, family community in which there is sharing among our staff, teachers and parents is essential for nurturing positive growth in our students.

Established in 1926, the charisms of our school — faith, family, and future — permeate all of our endeavors. Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and AdvancEd/SACs accredited, we strive to form students who in the future will be successful in all spiritual, academic and societal issues. 

St. Francis Xavier School is dedicated to creating an environment in which a Christian way of thought and life permeate all facets of the educational program by focusing on the spiritual, moral, intellectual, individual, social, physical, and cultural growth of our students.
